About the event
The African Textile Museum (ATM) will welcome a delegation from the Republic of Cameroon to the Grand Opening of “The Cameroonian Experience” exhibit on Saturday, February 24, 2024, 1:00 pm-3:30 pm. The museum, housed on the campus of New Birth MB Church, 6400 Woodrow Road at Bishop Eddie L. Long Parkway, Stonecrest, Georgia 30038, features the extraordinary textiles and heritage artifacts of Africa. Founder Queen Ahneva Hilson established the museum to reveal ‘fashion’ as one of civilization’s oldest art forms and that many of the techniques employed in today's worldwide fashion industry originated in Africa. The African Textile Museum is the first of its kind in the USA.
